Negros Jobs is the job portal of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information according to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules. This page explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Job seekers: name, birth date, sex, civil status, address, contact details, email, photo, education, work experience, skills, trainings, licenses, eligibilities, job preferences, your answers to employers' screening questions, and your applications.
- Employers: company name and profile, contact person, address, logo, business documents (such as BIR Form 2303 and permits), job vacancies, and the actions you take on applicants.
- Activity on the site: the jobs you view, save and search for, used only to recommend jobs to you.
- Technical data: login records and IP addresses, used only to protect accounts (for example, to block repeated wrong passwords).
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and verify your email.
- To match job seekers with vacancies and let employers review applications.
- To recommend jobs that fit you, based on your preferred job, work experience, skills, and the jobs you view, save, apply to and search for on Negros Jobs.
- To send you emails about your account, applications, interviews and results.
- To verify that employers are legitimate businesses before they can post jobs.
- To prepare employment statistics and reports for PESO and local government units, as required by law.
Who can see your information
- Employers you apply to can see your profile and resume for that application.
- Other approved employers can find your profile in the talent search only if your profile visibility is turned on (you can change this in Account settings → Visibility).
- PESO and partner local government units can see records needed for employment services and reports.
- We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. When your account is deleted (you can request this in Account settings), your profile, resume, applications and saved jobs are permanently removed. Statistics that do not identify you may be kept for reporting.
How we protect it
Passwords are stored encrypted (hashed), the site uses secure connections, uploaded business documents can only be opened by the employer who uploaded them and by PESO, and access to the system is limited to authorized personnel.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erase or block, to data portability, to file a complaint, and to damages. You can:
- view and correct your information anytime in your profile;
- hide your profile from employer searches in Account settings;
- request deletion of your account anytime in Account settings — PESO reviews and completes it;
- contact PESO for any other request, or file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
